Take The Pressure Off; Take The Limits Off

Matthew 6:24-34

24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

“Take no thought…”

Men worry about everything. Whether it be the pressures of providing, of marriage, of family, or just of life in general, all this worry builds up within us, like a pressure cooker, and then we break down and all the content comes out.

Men, you have to find a way to release.

Jeremiah 31:29 (KJV)

29 In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.

God is not the only one that operates generationally; the devil operates generationally as well.

The fathers have eaten sour grapes (acceptance of my worry-some life) and the next generation has a taste for worry, anxiety, struggle, and ultimately defeat.

John 10:10 (KJV)

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

The devil is a liar. He wants nothing more than to see you fail.

Proverbs 10:22 (KJV)

22 The blessing of the lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Blessing is not a word that should be used casually. The blessing of the Lord is empowerment; He works through the limitations of our minds with his infinite wisdom.

“it maketh rich,”

Some of you have troubles with the word ‘rich,’ but it doesn’t mean what you might think it does. Rich means to have a full supply; a full supply of gas when you need it, a full supply of money when you need it, or a full supply of food when you need it.

How many of you want a full supply working in your life? You need the blessing of the lord.

“and addeth no sorrow with it.”

Sorrow is worry and worry is labor-intensive thought! Remember “Take no thought.” Sorrow is a result of the curse!

Genesis 2:15-17 (KJV)

15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Don’t mess with God’s stuff!

The 1st father, Adam, added pressure to the whole family of the earth by eating from the tree that was reserved for God. Sorrow was introduced as a result of Adam partaking of what belonged to God!

The present world is driven by fear. Everyone is scared of what’s going to happen, whether I’ll make it, fear I’ll have enough, or whether I’ll get enough.

Understand this: We, God’s children, are not designed to live in fear, but we are designed as God-like creatures to live by faith. When God put Adam and Eve out of the Garden, it was cursed outside the garden. They were not made for outside the garden. When you accept Jesus into your life, it’s like saying, “let me back in!” The blessing over rides the earth’s curse.

Galatians 3:13-14 (KJV)

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

What Adam Lost, Jesus Redeemed. Jesus redeemed my ability to fellowship!

To take the edge off the next generation fathers; we must become worshippers, we must fellowship with the father. Let your children open the door to your bedroom and find you on your knees, praying to God. Our Assignment, or purpose, only comes through revelation of the Heavenly Father as it is acquired through fellowship.

Psalms 27:4 (KJV)

4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.

Provision: You are struggling with a position that is not yours. It is your responsibility to occupy or work until the Lord comes; the labor-intensive worry is not yours, that is part of the curse. You have been redeemed from worry, you’ve been redeemed from fear, you’ve been redeemed from lack, you’ve been redeemed! The blessing over-rides the curse! I am blessed with faithful Abraham, therefore I believe God! The Bible says it was counted unto Abraham for Righteous, because He believed God!
