Who Wants to be a Millionaire

Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

This is not a rhetorical question!

What is inside will come out eventually.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

What we say has a direct connection to what is inside of us.

Who wants to be a millionaire?

Why would God want us to be a millionaire?

  1. Favor
  2. Witness
  3. Blessing to others
  4. Obedience to His call
  5. I am His child

Here are just a few examples of millionaires in the Bible:

  1. Abraham
  2. Isaac
  3. Jacob
  4. Joseph
  5. Job
  6. Boaz
  7. Solomon
  8. David
  9. Barnabas

I must first believe and trust that God wants to bless me!

Joel 2:19-27

19 Yea, the Lord will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:

20 But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.

21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things.

22 Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.

23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.

25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

All of this is a sign of material blessing!

For many years we preached that this all had to do with spiritual things.

It’s easy to believe God for Spiritual things, but not for natural things.

It easier to believe for the intangibles than the tangibles.

God will bless in us in our efforts, not by winning the lottery!

Malachi 3:10-14

10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.

12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.

13 Your words have been stout against me, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?

14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts?

Prove God! Believe and Receive!

Can God trust me with what He wants to give me?

Why are more people not rich, blessed, healed, and delivered?

  1. Focus is not the blessing!
  2. We have no faith that this is true.
  3. We’re unwilling to fail.
  4. We eat our seed!

Throughout the entire bible you can find many instances of God blessing His people.

Why Not Me?
