The One Way Message

 

I.              Introduction

 

Have you ever by accident, driven down a one-way street in the wrong direction?  (Describe the hill with 2 deaths due to poor turn).

 

It is quite a shock when you realize what you’ve done – really puts you on your toes. Imagine making the turn, accelerating faster then smack! You wake up with a fireman’s face in front of you holding loud, screaming Jaws of Life; they cover your face as they begin cutting away bent metal from all around you. You are more than just confused – your senses are filled with sounds, smells, tastes, sights & pain that just came from out of nowhere – is it a nightmare? Then as they remove you from the wreckage & the pain overwhelms your body shock causes you to pass out. Just one mistake & so much hurt & damage.

 

A.            There is only one God and His name is Jesus!

 

I am not offended!

 

B.            There is only one plan of salvation to make it in the Rapture, the gospel.

 

I am not ashamed! 

 

C.             Did you know there is only one way to live right to be saved? God calls it holy & righteous.  I shall not be, I shall not be moved!

 

We better obey or we will cause our lives a whole lot of hurt & damage.

 

 

II.            Judgment throughout the Ages:

 

A.            God used: Abraham, Moses, Judges, kings, and prophets, Jesus, Apostles – to teach judgment.

 

Genesis 18:25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

 

Exodus 34:7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

 

B.            Don’t listen to lying preachers & false doctrine – Your soul is on the line!

 

Judges: God sent many Judges in Israel after they entered Canaan – a time of the Judges (about 300 yrs.).

 

2 Samuel 8:15 David executed judgment and justice unto all his people.

 

C.             When judgment stopped & kings of Israel & Judah failed God – God brought the judgment – we don’t want this.

 

Isaiah 1:27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

 

John 2:15And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables;

 

James 2:13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

 

Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

 

 

III.          Conclusion

 

If you want to be saved here is an easy way to understand what to do.

 

How much time do you spend with the world compared to time you spend with the things of God? 

 

Judge yourself – are you ready?

 

The more time we spend on a pleasure of the flesh the more we will want it (it will rule over us & control us); then we’ll give it more time, & more time, that we should be giving to the things of God; because the more time we give to God & the things of church – will lead us to a 1^st class ticket in the Rapture.

 

Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?

 

Jeremiah 32:39 And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:

 

Ephesians 4:4-6

4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

 

There is no other God – Jesus is the Judge, the King, the Saviour, and the Lord.

 

Why do people want more gods? 

• To grant them permission to sin!

 

Sin leads to failure to satisfy – what a vicious circle! 

 

Only Jesus can satisfy all our needs. 

 

We are one God people, forming a one God church, saved by a one-way plan, preached by one-way preachers.
