That’s Mine!

Introduction:

That’s mine! Can you prove it? Do you have a receipt? Can you describe it in detail? Is there any other evidence to prove that you are the rightful owner? Where did you get it? Do you belong to God? Ownership is a very important thing in the pride of our lives, which can be a good pride &/or bad pride, depending on how we use it.

To own our own:

  • Vehicle
  • Place to live
  • Tools
  • Stereo &/or entertainment centre,
  • Sports equipment…on & on through life we go.

We gain a bit; buy a bit…’that’s mine’.

You know a treasure or a possession in detail. Responsibility: You protect it from harm including ageing if possible; you & you alone control it. It is yours to share or not.   That’s Mine!

What Does God Own?

Psalms 50:10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

Deuteronomy 10:14 Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD’S thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.

This also means He owns the new earth.

Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

God has ownership over all things that remain within the framework of obeying the design He built into it. He does not own everything because many things have gone rogue, disobeyed & sought out other gods. They are self-willed & ungodly.

Genesis 6:5-7

5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

God owned them – God chose to eliminate them. Who wants to identify with those who curse themselves for damnation? Not me! I want God to own me.

He Owns The Church:

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Isaiah 1:3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

An ox learns to know his owner – but God’s back slidden people forgot their God, their father & owner.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

We become His & He becomes ours – our God & our Father.  By allowing God to own us we allow Him to take care of us, protect us.

I believe we can conclude that God owns everything that remains in His will, obeying the design for which God made it. The devils disobeyed God & He no longer owns them along with all human souls who live in sin obeying the devil.

Bought With A Price:

We have the Holy Ghost. God buys us, by way of the price He paid on Calvary. This means that sinners do not belong to God.

Free will choice to disobey God breaks ownership from God & to the devil & the world.   For this reason, God calls sinners children of the devil.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

1Thessalonians 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

It is for this reason that all sinners & unbelievers, those who belong to the devil, will go to the same everlasting fire judgement prepared for the devil.

Matthew 25:40-41

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

41. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Ezekial 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Ezekiel 18:8-29

8 He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man,

9 Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord God.

10 If he beget a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that doeth the like to any one of these things,

11 And that doeth not any of those duties, but even hath eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour’s wife,

12 Hath oppressed the poor and needy, hath spoiled by violence, hath not restored the pledge, and hath lifted up his eyes to the idols, hath committed abomination,

13 Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.

14 Now, lo, if he beget a son, that seeth all his father’s sins which he hath done, and considereth, and doeth not such like,

15 That hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, hath not defiled his neighbour’s wife,

16 Neither hath oppressed any, hath not withholden the pledge, neither hath spoiled by violence, but hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment,

17 That hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.

18 As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.

19 Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.

20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.

23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

25 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?

26 When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.

27 Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.

28 Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

29 Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?

It is important to understand that each & every soul has a responsibility to do right – obey God.  Relatives, bloodlines, cannot pass sin on to anyone else.

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

What Is Sin?

1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Sin is the act of a freewill choice to do, that which is against the laws of God. Sin is: to break the law of God – disobey God.

The factual, exact action of disobedience (committing disobedience or omitting to obey). Either ignorant of it or not, we all sin, & God knows.

Knowledge of the law is not a pre-requisite to identifying sin.

Leviticus 4:1-3

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the Lord concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them:

3 If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the Lord for a sin offering.

Speeding without getting caught is still breaking the law. We are not born with sin & cannot inherit it. We own 1 thing – Our free will!

Psalms 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

David was conceived by his mom & dad, in a world full of sin and iniquity.

If they were righteous or not, David was a sin free baby with a world full of influences (just like us) to lead him to his 1st sin. Ezekiel 18 clears this. He did not inherit sin upon himself, from his parents or the world.

Conclusion:

Can you prove it? Do you have a receipt? Yes, Jesus can prove He owns me. His blood from Calvary is on me, marking me as belonging to Him.

How did I get it on me? I obeyed Him in the New Birth!

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Don’t mess with God’s stuff!
