Fear the Demon Within

1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love; but perfect love cast out fear: because fear hath torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.

We should not live in fear but many people do, sinners and Christians alike are tormented with fear. It keeps them from fully obeying God and that fear comes from Satan.

As long as you have fear you will never be effective in the Kingdom of God.

1. You will never use the gifts of God,

2. You will never give like you want

Fear has torment– isn’t from God but from your enemy the devil.

John 10:10-14

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

Why do people have fear? Because fear is the working of Satan to keep you from trusting God.

Fear of death, fear of an accident, fear of being robbed, fear your children are going to die, fear of losing your home.

The list of fears is never ending, that is as long as you are afraid.

What you fear can become your master.

Satan is at work in the world with murder and hate and wars and sickness while the church is becoming accustom to the onslaught and does little to see the Kingdom of God come to earth.

Some people are afraid to leave their home. I have seen that kind of fear programed into people minds in churches by someone who was afraid themselves.

People worry about the unknown.

Matt 6:24-25 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Listen to this scripture: Matt 6:30-33

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? Or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

People who read horoscopes are opening themselves to demonic spirits.

The Ouija board is a tool of Satan that has been used by people for years and even little children can purchase one where they are sold.

Dabbling in the occult or magic in anyway can and will cause you much danger it can even cause you to become demon possessed and you not even know it.

The Devil is not an influence or an idea or some abstract concept. He is real, and hisdemonic presence can be seen and felt in this world in a powerful way. Lester Sumrall.

The power of hate and confusion and discontent is the fuel that keeps the devil alive and active in the church.

James 3:16….For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

Satan can use anyone that is not willing to submit to the power of the Lord Jesus. We have seen what the power of Satan can do in a church.

The reason for this is that the church isn’t ready to deal with demons simply because they are too preoccupied in their own mind, doing things that are displeasing to God.

To cast out devils, the body of Christ has to be operating in the Spirit!

If your mind isn’t on God when a demon is being cast out it can leave that person and possess someone who isn’t being obedient to God.

People who go to séances, palm readers those who tell your future by tarot cards are demon possessed. Horoscopes are from the devil.

Anything that is of the occult is of Satan himself.

Witch doctors in foreign countries can by demon enchantments make a person who is sick or have and incurable disease seem as if they are healed.

What is really happening is the demon moves to another area of the body and lays dormant only to return at a later time with the same disease and much more.

Only Jesus Christ can make a man free; John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

The reason there are so many people today that are killing their family is they are possessed by hate and fear.

People who have killed their own children or some loved one have told police that God told them to kill.

We know that is a lie from Satan himself spreading his propaganda to discredit God and turn people to him.

Satan is a counterfeiter imitating the spirit of God to destroy the faith of

God’s people and turn them from light to darkness;

2 Cor 11:14-15 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Satan is not only in the world causing war but he is in the church also.

Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Satan is a deceiver he has given people wealth and health to keep them from obeying God.

If you have something that keeps you away from prayer and the word of the Lord it isn’t a gift from God.

The rich man’s wealth kept him from inheriting the Kingdom of God.

 

A job that keeps you from God can keep you from your inheritance.

Satan will do everything he can to keep you from God the reason is, he knows every prayer time you miss will make you weaker, every church service you miss will make you weaker.

He lures people away from God and uses any excuse to keep them from Growing in God.

You are no threat to Satan Kingdom, if he keeps you from seeking the Kingdom of God.

Matt 6:33…But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

It not only will affect your walk with God but your children and all those that are watching you.

Because Satan has been banished from the Kingdom of God he has vowed to deceive as many of us as he can and seduce us into everlasting torture with him. (Lester Sumrall.)

People who try to question demons are heading for trouble. We are never to summon such evil spirits just to talk with them.

First of all, they are liars, intent only on winning us to their side — through fear, deception or seduction.

Second, they hate Jesus Christ and will say anything that will make you doubt Him or your faith or the hope of your eternal salvation — which they know is completely denied to them. They want you to burn with them forever.

Third, the Bible speaks very sternly against seeking information from demons and spirits. So, again, I stress that we must never ask details of the future, listen to their versions of spiritual matters, or even accept their claims.

Communing with spirits is so completely forbidden to us that the Bible ranks it right up there with murder.

But we are given authority to cast the evil out. Not make conversation (Lester Sumrall)

To many people especially ministers try to ask the demons question only to show their power to people. When this happens people can become demon possessed.

Mark 1:23-26 And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

24 Saying let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.

26 And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.

Paul rebukes a spirit: Acts 16:16-18 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, these men are the servants of the most high God, which show unto us the way of salvation.

18 And this did she many days.

But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

This was a Spirit that tried to send pride into Paul because if pride would have gotten in him he would have led many people astray by making them believe it was him and not God doing the work.

When Paul healed a cripple man in Acts 14 the spirit of Satan began to work trying to make Paul a God.

They wanted to recognize him as a God and also Barnabas: they brought things even to sacrifice to them.

Satan was trying to cause Paul and Barnabas to get puffed up in themselves and receive glory and not give it to God.

It’s easy for pride and recognition to take over a man or woman assuming them-selves to be something when they are nothing.

Satan doesn’t care how many miracles you do as long as you get the credit and not God.

One of the worst spirits is the spirit of self-righteousness.

Second is: The Spirit of Pride; Let me tell you this: When Satan moves in for the kill he will make a person feel alone unappreciated, unloved, you will become a recluse avoiding reality, you will begin to sit in darkness depressed, unmotivated until you die spiritually.

Then Satan will have full control and he will use you to destroy everything that is good even your family. Slowly he will destroy your relationship with people that love you and eventually even your love for God.

When Satan finally has you where he wants you he will draw you away from prayer, from church, convince you that no one loves you.

1. You will find it hard to repent and that will keep you from God’s forgiveness.

2. You will lose your convictions and even begin to convince yourself that you are ok and all those convictions you had were unnecessary and now you feel free instead of in bondage.

3. You will find people that will agree with you. Your lifestyle slowly but surely begins to change and you think I can serve God and not be under convictions all the time.

Haven’t you noticed that everything that was good when you started has become unnecessary now?

Haven’t you noticed your style of worship has changed, things that were wrong doesn’t seem wrong anymore?

Demons are at work, be careful not to entertain them.
