Are You Willing To Be Healed?

Many people question God’s willingness to heal. “If it’s God’s will” is the response you normally get from a person when coming for prayer.

But some may think what if he doesn’t? My response is always, “What if he does?”

My question to you is this: “Are you willing to be healed?”

To be healed, the first thing you have to do is believe that Jesus is able to do the miraculous.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

My next question is “have you diligently sought the Lord for your healing?”

My third question is “do you believe what the Lord Prophet Isaiah said in: Isa 53:5”

There were four things that took place for your healing:

1. But he was wounded for our transgressions,

2. He was bruised for our iniquities:

3. The chastisement of our peace was upon him;

4. And with his stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

The Psalms says in verse: 107:20 He sent his word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions.

The biggest problem today is that we don’t believe the word!

We say we do but in our actions we prove different.

Obedience is the key to healing: John 9:5-7 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,

7 And said unto him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam,”(which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore and washed and came seeing.

The word was spoken, “go and wash.” The obedience to the word brought the healing!

There are always some to question the ability of Christ to heal:

John 9:10-11Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?

11 He answered and said, “A man that is called Jesus made clay and anointed mine eyes and said unto me,”

There were two things that happened here:

1. The obedience to Go to the pool of Siloam and wash:

2. The results of his obedience to the word: and I went and washed and I received sight.

Matt 9:6-7

6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,)

Here’s the word: “Take up thy bed and walk”

In verse 7 here was the Obedience to the command: And “he arose and departed to his house.”

He could have laid there and been crippled for the rest of his life, he had to make the decision to get up.

John 5:2-9 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. Sounds like a nursing home doesn’t it:

4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

6 When Jesus saw him lie and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he said unto him,

Number one the question; “Wilt thou be made whole?”

Verse 7: The excuse: The impotent man answered him, “Sir; I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.”

Here’s the word in verse 8 Jesus said unto him,

Three things was commanded of him;

1. “Rise,

2. Take up thy bed.

3. And walk.

Look what obedience did in verse 9;

1. And immediately the man was made whole!

2. And took up his bed.

3. And walked:

Somebody shout to God!

We may read it, we may believe it, but if we don’t obey it, it will never happen!

We have got to get back to being Apostolic!

We are too worried about what if it doesn’t work? But what if it does?

The thing that you are missing is that these people didn’t know who Jesus was; we claim to know him and even to be his children.

He was a stranger to them, he came up spit in dirt, put it on a man’s eyes and told him togo wash, he obeyed and came seeing.

He goes up to a complete stranger and said, “get up and walk,” and he got up and walked.

Not today, the doctor told me I would always be blind, I would always be crippled.

But the word of God says, “BY HIS STRIPES YOU ARE HEALED!!”

Get up, Get up, Get Up!

Let me take it another step further into what we would call impossible;

Matt 9:18-19 behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her and she shall live.

19 And Jesus arose and followed him and so did his disciples.

But listen while he was on his way to heal her something happened to hinder him;

Matt 9:20-22

And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him and touched the hem of his garment:

21 For she said within herself, If, I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

This is faith in action, she didn’t just say it she pressed her way to where Jesus was!

22 But Jesus turned him about and when he saw her, he said, “Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.”

And the woman was made whole from that hour. Why? Because of faith and because Jesus said so!

· She didn’t say what’s the use I’ve been this way for 12 years,

· NO she said “If I may but touch his garment I shall
