Deliverance From The Chains

Every one of us has a chain that we can’t see. Some may be bound because of anger, clubs, lusting, disobedience, drunkenness and many others. At one time or another we will carry a chain of some sort. Some may have a great heavy chain, and it will bind you down. Others may have a medium chain, lukewarmness, and complacency. Others may have a small chain, they straddle the fence and see how close they can get to sin, and entertain lustful thoughts.

Some of us never get tired of hauling these chains around and we have learned to carry them everywhere we go. Yes they are heavy and yes they weigh you down. They snuff the joy that should be in your heart. They stop you from giving it your all at church service. They keep you from praying the way you are supposed to, the way you used to. There is no freedom of Holy Ghost movement when these chains are holding us down. We say: “someone is going to see me if I cause a Holy Ghost Stir”. Chains were made to hold prisoners secure without a possibility of them escaping its hold. They are normally reserved for the offenders, the ones that made bad choices, but they sometimes hold the innocent ones such as Paul & Silas, Peter. Chains remove your dignity. They put you in open shame. When you see a convict walking with chains on his hands and feet, you don’t see a person who is free, you don’t see a person with a bright future, and you don’t see any hope for that person. Chains on your soul will reflect in your walk.

You may not have physical chains all over your body, but a spiritual chain can be just as effective as a physical chain. You can be so drained in your job and home that you don’t pray any more and sin begins to develop in your heart and you become used to it until church becomes ordinary. The devil can tell you. You will not dance today, you will not praise loud today, you will not sing from your heart today. If you let him he can hold you bound with a chain around your neck and will tell you, look at this filthy immorality instead. He can tell you keep your eye on the world instead. He can tell you, you are not yet ready to be totally committed.

Some of us will listen to Satan’s’ suggestions. Some of us will struggle between right and wrong. Some of us will choose neither good nor bad. Some of us don’t even know how to remove these chains, and some don’t want to remove those chains because they have got accustomed to its binding properties. You have been told that you don’t have the key to unlock them. You have been told that you are not strong enough to break those chains. You have been told that you cannot resist temptation, therefore you might as well keep them on.

We fill the tugging of the Holy Ghost in our hearts and we somewhat manage to praise a little, we say if some else steps out in faith, then I will follow. I have news for you, the service may not always be just the way you want it. We are not here to impress you, but are here to impress God. We are here to worship him and give him glory. It’s what you put into it that will benefit you. But brother so and so, you just don’t know how heavy this chain is, it is going to take many Holy Ghost services to get it off. Today is the day of salvation, choose you this day whom you will serve.

Do you believe it? Do you believe in the Word of God? Do you believe that God is able to succor them? Church these chains were not made for us, there is a great chain that is awaiting Satan who will be bound for a thousand years in the bottomless pit. Gal. 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Man these chains can get pretty heavy after a while. They keep me from expressing myself to God with all my heart. They keep me from witnessing and praying like I should.

Luke 4:17-21 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, THIS DAY IS THIS SCRIPTURE FULFILLED IN YOUR EARS.

The prison doors have been unlocked thousands of years ago when Jesus died for our sins. This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Acts 12:1-10 There is a story about king Herod who killed James the brother of John with the sword, and because it pleased the Jews, he apprehended Peter also and put him in prison and put 16 soldiers to keep him guarded until Easter. He was bound with two chains and slept between 2 soldiers. The Bible says: But prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. The angel of the Lord came upon him and told Peter to get up and the chains fell off from his hands and the angel led him out of prison. There was fervent prayer going up before the Lord. I wonder what would happen to our chains if the church would pray with all their heart mind soul and strength.
