Eagles Fly More Than One Time
Gen 1:1-2 KJV In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (2) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Exo 19:1-4 KJV In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai. (2) For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount. (3) And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; (4) Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself. Deu 32:8-11 KJV When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. (9) For the LORD’S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance. (10) He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. (11) As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: Isa 40:28-31 KJV Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. (29) He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. (30) Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: (31) But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
In all of these pictures there is the thought of God being like an EAGLE and ready to DELIVER.
Deut 32: (10) He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. The word WASTE here in Hebrew is the same word WITHOUT FORM in Gen 1:2.
In Isaiah 40, Israel was referred to as being given DOUBLE for her sins… Israel was captivated in Assyria and Babylon.
The woman clothed with the sun in Rev 12 is persecuted by the devil and is given eagle’s wings to be nourished in the wilderness. Notice that the power of God is described in Isa 40. Isa 40:28-31 KJV Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary… Notice the two words WEARY and FAINT.
Isa 40(31) But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. If God never gets weary and does not faint, then when we read that if we wait on the Lord we will mount up with eagles’ wings and not get weary nor faint, then the eagles’ wings reference has something to do with GIVING US GOD’S POWER so we experience what he experiences! Now, I will show that all of this refers to when a person is first saved. Exo 19:(3) And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; (4) Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself. When did God bear them up on eagles’ wings in the Exodus?
Rev 12:13-16 KJV And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. (14) And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. (15) And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. (16) And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. We read where God bore Israel up on eagles’ wings in the Exodus in Exodus 19.
Exo 14:13-14 KJV And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. (14) The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. Exo 14:23-28 KJV And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. (24) And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians, (25) And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians. (26) And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen. (27) And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. (28) And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them. Look at how this is described later. Exo 15:9-12 KJV The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them. (10) Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters. (11) Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? (12) Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them. Just like in Rev., the same terms are used in Exodus.
The enemy said he would overtake them, but God intervened! Deut picks up on this at the end of the Exodus as Moses relates their history from Egypt.
(11) As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: Putting all; of this together, we realize that God saw Israel at the Red Sea in the Wilderness.
He was at MOUNT SINAI.
They say that when Israel came to Mount Sinai and received the ten commandments, it was the day of Pentecost.
And all of this perfectly shows forth the plan of salvation. We repent. Exo 14:19-20 KJV And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them: (20) And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night. And as Genesis showed the pattern of brooding over the earth like an eagle in the waste without form world, Genesis begins the same process all included in the idea of carrying them on eagle’s wings, as Deut 32 mentioned He did after He brooded over them as in Gen 1:2, and refers to light and darkness. Gen 1:5 KJV And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Then God took those soldiers that were separated from Israel and drowned them out. Exo 14:21 KJV And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. Gen 1:6-7 KJV And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. (7) And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And then they came to MOUNT SINAI to get law, which was the time of the day of Pentecost, when RESURRECTION Occurred for the church into newness of life. Gen 1:9-11 KJV And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. (10) And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. (11) And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. ALL OF THIS DESCRIBES HOW GOD SAVES US.
When you realize you are in a mess, and you need greater help than what you have, YOU WAIT UPON THE LORD. Isa 40(31) But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. That is what Israel did when they were caught with the enemy behind them. Standing still and realizing your own power cannot cut it, and relying on God, means WAITING on the Lord.
How many recall how you could not save yourself, and called on Jesus to help you? HE BORE YOU UP ON EAGLES’ WINGS!
Col 2:6 KJV As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: In the same way you first received God, we are taught to EVER WALK or LIVE THIS CHRISTIAN LIFE.
Gal 3:1-3 KJV O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? (2) This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? (3) Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Gal 5:4-9 KJV Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. (5) For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. (6) For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. (7) Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? (8) This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. (9) A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. Paul is speaking to people who started out with reliance on God’s Spirit, but reverted back into the flesh again!
APPLY THAT SAME SOLUTION TO EVERYDAY NOW after you are saved! God bore you up on eagle’s wings when He saved you, but eagles were never meant to fly only once.
Gal 5:(5) For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. Through the Spirit WE WAIT. They that WAIT upon the Lord, will mount up with wings as eagles. We all knew nothing but God’s power could save us.
Teach me, Lord, to wait. |
