The Book With All The Answers

 

Still number one selling book of all time…..

Rom 10:9-17

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

 

I believe everyone needs a preacher sent from God.

More than just once a week.

How many things do we listen to each day?

• TV
• Radio
• Coworkers
• Friends
• Family
• Noise, animals, birds

How many of these preach the Word of God to us?

• TV entertains – at a distance
• Radio entertains
• Coworkers – help work
• Friends – just talk
• Family – is support

But the preacher speaks the Word of God to anyone who will hear, and those that hear have a good chance to be saved.

• You can tune in or turn off, it’s up to you how much you receive.
• You can love it or leave it, your choice, anytime.

The Bible is a book that needs a preacher to interpret it. It was designed by God.

The world has a lot of philosophers, poets, authors, teachers, professors, salesmen, talkers and con-artists, but the bible says to beware of men;

Matt 7:15

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Col 2:8

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Jesus tells it like it is. This is who we should follow;

Luke 8:19-21

19 Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press.

20 And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.

21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

 

Luke 11:27-28

27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.

28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

• Jesus told us to search the Scriptures
• Jesus told us to ask, seek, knock.
• Paul told Timothy to Study the Word of God

The more we become students of God’s word, the more we will have answers and understanding, to all situations in life.

• The Word of God teaches us to trust the Lord at all times.
• The Word of God should be our comfort.
• The Word of God should be our shield,
• The Word of God should be our code of conduct.
• The Word of God should be our first resort.
• The Word of God should be used daily.
• The Word of God is the truth.
• The Word of God is our defense. It should be on our minds, hearts, and lips.

 

Prov 30:5

5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Heb 4:12

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Ps 33:4

4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.

• Three verses say the same thing, must be important.

Matt 24:35

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away

Mark 13:31

31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 

Luke 21:33

33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Luke 16:17

17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

Everything else in this world will fail, but the Word of God will be forever.

We will be judged by the Word of God.

We will be rewarded by the Word of God.

• The word of God has all the answers for mankind.
• The word of God will teach you what’s right and what’s wrong.
• The word of God will keep you from doing evil, if you live by it.

John 8:31-32

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

• You can hear it here every Wednesday, and Sunday.
• You can read it everyday.
• You should treasure the word of God. Make it your best book, and get to know it well, matter of fact let me help you get to know it.
• In the end you’ll be glad you did. Instead of wasting time on useless things. (I could preach on that alone)
• How much time do we really waste? How will God deal with that?
• I believe the Word of God has the answer.

2 Tim 2:15

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
