Shake Off Those Vipers

Acts 28:1-6

Acts 27:14 – Euroclydon.

V18 “And we being exceedingly tossed with a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship”

            Get  rid of the excess baggage.

THREE DAYS IN THE STORM

“For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, Saying FEAR NOT”

FEAR  /  DOUBT (365 fear not’s in the Bible)

V31 “except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved”

STAY IN THE SHIP!  “ OL SHIP OF ZION “

FIRE OF THE BARBARIANS

            Paul – Gathering Sticks

                        Was busy, also made himself servant.

                        Would not let it just be a fire of the world

Peter, warming himself by the fire of the world, caused him to deny the Lord.

VIPER – Warmed by the fire of the world.

MORE HEAT APPLIED BY AN APOSTOLIC –caused the Viper to strike out.

JUDGEMENT OF THE WORLD ABOUT YOU –

            BUT THEY DON’T KNOW YOUR GOD!

Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Scribes and Pharisees – Those opposing Jesus and His doctrine.

            Doctrines – Baptism – One God – Holy Ghost infilling,

                        Dead Dog Buried (stinks)

“but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said he was a god.”

It may take a while, but time is on your side with God.

Isa 57:15-16

15       For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

16       For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.

Deut 33:27

27       The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
