The Bread Belong to Me

Mark 7:27-28

27 But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs. 28 And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord:  yet the dogs under the   table eat of the children’s crumbs.

Some people are so hungry that they are doing great things for God with their “crumbs.”  What are you doing with your “bread”?

Romans 10:19-21

19 But did the people of Israel really understand? Yes, they did, for even in the time of Moses, God had said, “I will rouse your jealousy by blessing other nations. I will make you angry by blessing the foolish Gentiles.” 20 And later Isaiah spoke boldly for God: “I was found by people who were not looking for me.  I showed myself to those who were not asking for me.” 21 But regarding Israel, God said, “All day long I opened my arms to them, but they kept disobeying me and arguing with me.”

Psalm 84:10

For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

A thousand days is just under three years.  Think of what you can accomplish in three years by focusing on YOUR priorities.  Now think of what God can accomplish in just ONE DAY in His presence!

HOW HUNGRY ARE YOU FOR THE BREAD OF LIFE?

The Bread Belongs To Me

Leviticus 24:9 (KJV)

And it shall be Aaron’s and his sons’; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.

Leviticus 24:9 (NLT)

The loaves of bread belong to Aaron and his male descendants, who must eat them in a sacred place, for they represent a most holy portion of the offerings given to the Lord by fire.

Only the priests were allowed to eat this bread, and only in the Holy Place … but God “bent the rules” for David because of his hunger (the priests were obviously not hungry, because the bread had not been eaten by them!)

1 Samuel 21:6

So, since there was no other food available, the priest gave him the holy bread—the Bread of the Presence that was placed before the Lord in the Tabernacle. It had just been replaced that day with fresh bread.

REMEMBER DAVID’S TABERNACLE!  In that instance also, God “bent the rules” for David and allowed the Ark of the Covenant to be seen by EVERYONE as they worshipped around it non-stop for nearly 36 years!
