Genesis 6:12-22

Flee from the wrath to come

Put yourself in the place of the condemned man on judgment day

Stands alone before an angry God

(nobody to stand with you, to protect or to blame)

Stands sinful before a holy God

(we will be sinful by birth and sinful by choice)

Stands guilty before a just God

(God is fair, but the last thing we want is a fair trial)

Put yourself in the place of the condemned man for eternity

Abandoned by God, what a crying shame

(God will no longer take thought of you, as compared to God now who takes endless thoughts of us.)

Psalm 40:5 Many, O LORD my God, [are] thy wonderful works [which] thou hast done, and thy thoughts [which are] to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: [if] I would declare and speak [of them], they are more than can be numbered.

Tormented by flames, what a waste

(Man was created to enjoy life, and be enjoyed by God)

No hope, no mercy, no leniency – for eternity

(An amazing price to pay for the temporary pleasures of sin)

Sins have been accumulating, crime is on the rise, innocent blood is being shed without justice, abortions, child prostitution.  God is coming to judge and punish the wicked, we must flee from the coming wrath!!!

Jesus came once as the meek and mild Lamb, suffering indignities.

Jesus will come as the Lion of Judah, executing justice and punishment.

 

Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is nigh

Just as certain as the Lake of Fire is the promise of Heaven

The Lord shall reward us for our works

(A positive message – we shall not go unrewarded)

We shall be reunited with our righteous loved ones

(Those who lost their families shall receive 100-fold)

We shall ever be with our imaginative Creator

(We don’t know what we’ll do, but we know He is amazing)

The Kingdom of Heaven is for citizens only

You don’t become a citizen after you die

(Unlike migration, heaven accepts only previous applicants)

You become a citizen while you are alive

Since..

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.               …therefore this message is always preceded by

Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

It doesn’t matter when the end of the world comes

Nobody usually lives longer than 100 years

Judgment day will come to you, or you will go to it.

You will be judged the moment you die, so repent!!!

Salvation is so very near to those who discover it.

Your heart may already be beating blood filled with faith

(Saying, “Yes, this is right!  Yes, this is what I’ve been looking for!  Yes, before tonight is over I’ll dedicate my life to God!”)

Your breath of repentance may already be inside your lungs

(Tell the Lord with triumph, “I believe!!!”)

(Sirens in heaven turn on when one soul repents!!!)

(An exercise of faith in God releases Him to revive you)

 

When Jesus returns, will He find faith on the earth?

Things that are rare increase their worth to those who collect

(People who believe in God become houses in the great mansion)

We are a peculiar people, a treasure unto our God

(Not because of who or what we are, but because we believe Him!)

Faith is our victory

1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, [even] our faith.

1 John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

You can’t buy your way into heaven

You can’t earn your way into heaven

Those who have faith, patience (hope) and love (charity)

Story about reading book and praying to remind God of my faith.

o   We need to be born of God to overcome the world

o   We need to repent to enter the Kingdom of Heaven

o   We need to flee the wrath to come

Saint, if you need to shake off something that’s been keeping you from getting close to God, come and pray – there’s POWER in faith.  God will deliver you from anything external and empower you for internal victory.

Unsaved friend, if you want to be born again – come to the altar and tell God of your sins, change your ways, ask God to save you.  Tonight, you can be baptized in water and God may fill you with the Holy Ghost.

The promise of answered prayer has been announced, do you believe?
