Are You Worn Out?

 

25And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.


Daniel 7:25

Much of Daniel speaks of dreams and visions of the end times, much of it has to do with the great tribulation that is prophesied to come upon this world.

When the great tribulation, or the time of Jacob’s troubles is going to be we are not sure. But we know that today it is in the works.

It is brewing, it is fomenting , it is building.

The troubles we see in the middle east will never see a true resolution.

1But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

1 Thess 5:1

I believe there will be cycles of war and relative uneasy peace until the time of the coming of the Lord.


2After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. 3Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

Hosea 6:2-3

The prophets speak about 2 and 3 days, the scripture reveals to us in 2nd Peter 3:8.

8But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

2 Peter 3:8

that those days are a thousand years.

It has been 2 days since Jesus walked the earth in Gods timetable, and the prophet said in the 3rd day he will raise us up and we will live in his sight.

But that rain that he spoke of is the rain of revival!

In James 5:7 we are told that the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth.

7Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

James 5:7

God people are that fruit of the earth! According to John 15:1 God is the husbandman of the vineyard!

The reason we have not seen the coming of the Lord yet is because the fruit is still coming forth, revival is still happening and the Lord is patiently awaiting his precious fruit.

In the patient plan and planting of God he is awaiting precious fruit and we are part of the plan. The latter day church we call the NJUPC is a small part of a worldwide revival and harvest of souls that God has patiently waited for.

Revival means the bringing forth from the dead.

There are teaching in the word of God that have been dead for years in denominal churches.

There are churches that have existed for 500 years that today are dying and people are leaving them.

I read of one of these in Yonkers that has not had a new member in 25 years.

Why?                                     Because they are not open to revival…

As a result they look to build congregations in the name of inclusiveness, inclusiveness is a term that describes the willingness to accept new members without any scriptural regeneration.

9Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

Inclusiveness is the mistaken belief that we can serve God just as we are and he accepts and loves us.

But this is not the scriptural mandate.

The scriptural mandate is to be born again! John 3:1-8

And not only to be born again but live as a separate and consecrated people

14Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

2 Cor 6:14-17

Sin will bring judgment

1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Romans 6:1

And the Apostle Paul wrote to be dead to sin!

We have got to be open to a revival to the things of God

But you see our text scripture let us know that the spirit of anti-christ will seek to change times and laws.

And we see that move and we see that push in our land today and it is the spirit of ant-christ

The move that we see is not to get closer to God, but rather an attempt to legitimize that which God has condemned.

And in that spiritual push of the spirit of anti-christ there is a spiritual oppression which is directed against the children of God

When our text scripture said , and shall wear out the saints of the most High , it means literally that.

To wear out Gods people. Some versions read oppress and persecute but while thay are similar in meaning if you read the Hebrew definition:

H1080

 (Chaldee); corresponding to H1086 (but used only in a mental sense); to
afflict:—wear out.

The Hebrew speaks of a word used in the mental sense only bel-aw’ , to afflict mentally and to wear out mentally.

And this is the battle that we are fighting now.

You see according to the scripture the spirit of anti-christ is already at work according to 2 Thess 2:7.

And the anti-christs game plan is being implemented but not fulfilled yet, because the Lord is waiting for the precious fruit of the earth.

He is frustrated in his work because he is consistently undermined by God until that time.

But the groundwork is there, and the oppression is there, and the spiritual movements are there.

Challenging the children of God, desiring to wear you out.

Are you wore out today?

If you are wore out today I want to remind you of some of the promises of God

29  For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.

30  As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

31  For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?

32  It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.

33  He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places.

Psalms 18:29-33

19The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.

Habbakuk 3:19

 

11            The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.

Psalms 29:11

16The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

Joel 3:16

4And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

Micah 5:4

3              In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.

Psalms 138:3

There are more scriptures in the word of God that talk about strength that comes from on high, We cant read them all in this ministry time today, they are too many

But by far the most famous one is Isaiah 40:38-31.

28Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40:38-31

It’s time to stand and feed in the strength of the Lord!
