I Found a Treasure

Matt 13:44-46

44       Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

45       Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

46       Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Matt 6:19-21

19       Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

20       But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

21       For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Kingdom of Heaven Like  –  Treasure Hid in a field

Man working all his life to make ends meet –  life bitter – disappointments  – strikes something

Hides treasure  –  sells all  –  to buy the Field

Merchant  –  ( Pearl of Great Price )  Sold all to Buy it (  The Treasure  )

Filled with   –  Unsatisfied Hunger  –  Thirst

Hunger  – strong desire     Thirst – to crave vehemently

Mt. 5:6  –  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness  – for they shall be filled.

·        The disciples left all to follow Him

Treasure  –  Very Precious  –  to set high value  –  A prize  –  Jewels

Proverbs 15: 6  – In the house of the righteous is much treasure  –  but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.

20       There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.
