CAN YOU STAND TO BE BLESSED?

(Luke 6:38 KJV)  Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

GOD DESIRES TO BLESS HIS CHILDREN

(Gen 12:3 KJV)  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

WE ARE SPIRITUAL CHILDREN OF ABRAHAM.

HIS PROMISE OF BLESSING IS UPON OUR LIVES.

JEWISH PEOPLE HAD A CUSTOM OF THE FATHER BLESSING HIS SONS:

·        IT WAS AT THIS TIME THAT THE ESTATE WAS TRANSFERRED.

·        BUT ALSO THE SPIRITUAL BLESSING.

JACOB WANTED THIS BLESSING…BUT HE WAS NOT THE ELDEST SON

·        TWIN …YES

·        BUT HE WAS BORN SECOND.

·        ESAU WAS THE ONE THAT RIGHTFULLY DESERVED IT

·        BUT JACOB TRICKED HIS FATHER.

(Gen 28:10 KJV)  And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.

(Gen 28:11 KJV)  And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.

(Gen 28:12 KJV)  And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it Reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

(Gen 28:13 KJV)  And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

(Gen 28:14 KJV)  And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

(Gen 28:15 KJV)  And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

(Gen 28:16 KJV)  And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.

(Gen 28:17 KJV)  And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

GOD GAVE A PROMISE OF A BLESSING TO JACOB.

·          BUT NOTICE IN HIS LIFE THAT GOD DOES NOT JUST DROP IT OUT OF HEAVEN.

·          WHERE EVER YOU WALK I’LL BLESS YOU

·          YOU SEE JACOB HAD TO BE WILLING TO GO A FEW PLACES FIRST

·          MAYBE TRAVEL TO A PLACE WHERE HE NEVER WANTED TO GO BEFORE

·        LABAN – 7 YRS.

·        LABAN GAVE HIM LEAH

·        7 MORE YEARS FOR RACHEL

·        14 YEARS FOR HIS FIRST LOVE

·        14 YEARS!

WE OFTEN PRAY FOR A BLESSING

GOD SEND IT RIGHT NOW!

BUT THE PROBLEM IS WE ARE NOT ABLE TO STAND IT!

HOW CAN WE APPRECIATE SOMETHING THAT DOES NOT COME WITH A PRICE?

·        WE WANT REVIVAL WITHOUT PRAYER

·        WE WANT A FULL HOUSE WITHOUT ALL THE WORK.

·        WE WANT ANOINTING WITHOUT THE FASTING

·        WE WANT SOULS WITHOUT BIBLE STUDIES

*****I BELIEVE THAT THE REASON THAT GOD DOES NOT GIVE US A 3,000 SOUL REVIVAL IS WE COULD NOT CONTAIN ONE.******

(Mat 9:16 KJV)  No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.

(Mat 9:17 KJV)  Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

(2 Ki 4:4 KJV)  And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.

(2 Ki 4:6 KJV)  And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.

(2 Ki 4:7 KJV)  Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
