Jam 1:6  But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

my mind ought to believe God is a prayer answering god

Jam 1:7  For let not that man think[imagine (be of the opinion): – suppose,] that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

Jam 1:8  A double minded[two spirited, that is, vacillating (in opinion or purpose)] man is unstable[inconsistent] in all his ways.

road; by implication a progress (the route, act or distance); figuratively a mode or means: – journey, (high-) way.

Jam 4:8  Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh[to make near, that is, (reflexively) approach: – approach, be at hand, come (draw) near, be (come, draw) nigh]to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts,[ the heart, that is, (figuratively) the thoughts or feelings]  ye double minded.

Psa 7:10  My defence is of God, which saveth the upright[straight even right, pleasant, prosperous] in heart.

[labe feelings, the will and  the intellect; thoughts mind]

Psa 24:3  Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?

Psa 24:4  He that hath clean[ innocent] hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity,

[not all caught up into wordliness money] nor sworn deceitfully.

Psa 24:5  He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

What shall I do to rise to that high place, that hill, where the Lord dwells and manifests himself, that I may be acquainted with him, and to abide in that happy holy place where he meets his people and makes them holy and happy?

Psa 27:14  Wait[bind together (perhaps by twisting), that is, collect; (figuratively) to expect: – gather (together), look, patiently, tarry, wait (for, on, upon).

on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart:[thought feeling will intellect] wait, I say, on the LORD.

If you ever fall or fail or loose out or backslide or give up or throw in the towel it is because you did not think the right thoughts.

We must keep our thoughts pure, we must fill our mind with gods thoughts theses are precious seeds that will without fail yield a holy miraculous harvest.

Isa 55:7  Let the wicked [doing wrong] forsake[aw-zab’

A primitive root; to loosen, that is, relinquish, permit] his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts:[ (from the mental effort) to think, regard, value, compute: – (make) account (of), conceive, consider, count, cunning ] and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Isa 55:8  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,[ deh’-rek

From H1869; a road (as trodden); figuratively a course of life or mode of ] saith the LORD.

Isa 55:9  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

What God is saying is that we do not have the ability to think like God, so God tells us to aw-zab’ to loosen, let go of our thoughts so he can then fill us with his thoughts.

Our thoughts are a direct result of our experiences

If we experience too much of the time Hollywood’s cheating, leaving, messing, dressing and stressing,

Then this is how we think.

Thoughts become actions, actions become habits, and habits become destiny.

But if our experience is the Holy Word of the living God,

If our experience is red hot prayer meeting,

If our experience is tongue talking, aisle running and revival then, experiences produce thoughts, thoughts produce actions, actions produce habits and habits produce destiny.

This is why when the enemy says, hey, you are not really saved, we have put in our mind the thoughts of God and we answer back this charge with God’s Word.

I am redeemed from the hand of the enemy

I am more than a conqueror

I am the righteousness of god in Christ

He gave me power to become a son of god

When the enemy of our mind says we are too weak our response is the the thoughts and the word of god

Let the weak say I am strong

If and when the enemy attacks you with fear you can answer him by sayings 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Jesus’ response to the enemy was a quick and powerful and a sure it is written…

When the enemy says you are alone nobody cares for you and that you have been forsaken by everybody,

We must answer it is written …I will never leave nor forsake you

I will not put on you more than you can bear

With every test and every trial I will make a way of escape

I am with you even until the end of the world

And honestly when we begin to quote these scriptures it will at times seem hollow and empty it will sometimes cause us to be more frustrated

Jesus was hungry when he was in the wilderness. His hunger did not disappear when he rebuked the enemy he was not addressing his physical situation

He was exposing the enemy who was messing with Jesus’ flesh, he put the battle into the context of the spiritual.

The problem was not that Jesus was hungry, the problem was that the devil was exploiting Jesus’ situation and vying for his worship.

While the devil was attacking Jesus on the physical plane Jesus was beating the devil on the spiritual plane because he can’t ever successfully compete with a child of God using God’s Word.

The devil tried to make Jesus think that natural physical carnal bread was what Jesus needed but Jesus used the supreme law of the universe and told him that man must live by the word of God.

2Co 10:3  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

2Co 10:4  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

2Co 10:5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

a strong hold is a place that is very fortified entrenched and reinforced it is an important place that any enemy does not plan on giving up.

It doesn’t matter how strong this place is it will come down when we cast down imaginations thoughts and bring them into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Eph 1:22  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

Eph 1:23  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

We are the earthly representation of Christ his body and all things if we believe will be under our feet

Paul wrote in Eph 1:17 saying that he wanted God to give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation that they might know what is the hope of their calling,

that they might understand their position in Christ and that God has raised up Jesus and set him on high and has put all things under his feet and gave him to be the head over all things which is his church , his body.

All things are put under the feet of the body of Christ. That means spiritually, legally all things are under us.

The reason why we struggle too often just to stay saved is we don’t think like we ought to.
