In this sermon Elements Of Worship, To worship is to quicken the conscience by the holiness of God; to feed the mind with the truth of God; to purge the imagination by the beauty of God; to open the heart to the love of God; to devote the will to the purpose of God. Worship in heaven includes prayer; and, since we lack totally pure worship here on this earth, so we must look to the heavens to find the pure pattern. Much of our praying is selfish, need-oriented, and lacking in faith. Therefore, we must adopt the pattern of Heaven's prayers - using, namely, the Lord's Prayer.
