Don’t Nail Me Down
In this sermon Don’t Nail Me Down, we learn if you have a cross attached to your life, possessions cannot stand between you and the Lord. Worldly activities cannot stand between you and the Lord. People cannot stand between you and the Lord. Your ideas and personal feelings cannot stand between you and the Lord. What really matters in your life? The physical or the spiritual? It's okay to handle the cross, but don't nail me down. If you do, I may have to give up everything but Him. I will have to surrender my will and my way to find His will and His way. I will have to obey regardless of my personal interpretation of the scriptures. Don't nail me down! It will cost too much to be nailed down. Can you expect the world to be changed by your life unless you are nailed down? I think not! We need to be nailed down. Quit fraternizing with the world. We need to be nailed down. Stop associating with sin. We need to be nailed down. Refrain from spiritual compromise. What are you doing against the will of God now that you would not have allowed in the past? Lay it down. On your cross. Get the nails out. Surrender to God's plan for your life.
