Resurrection

Solomon had many wives but, as a wealthy, powerful King, he had little true love. Solomon saw a woman that he was attracted to, but he didn’t want to make her be his wife like all the rest, so he hid himself and became a shepherd to meet her, get to know her, and win her love. As a king, he could have demanded the family to make her his wife, but that would be forced by power, not love, not free will. In the end, she fell in love with him.

If Jesus is God, why did He have to hurt Himself to save us? To reach out and save people would display power only, ability to overcome death. But, to die for us and take our place; that shows love, true love. We can either accept or reject Him. You and I need love more than you can imagine. Let God help you to receive it and understand.

Note: Do not permit ministers to force you to serve God! Serve Him from the heart, because you want to!

The title for this message is ‘Resurrection,’ not Resurrection Day. Why? Because His resurrection caused millions of His people to become resurrected in various areas of their lives. The purpose of this message is to encourage us to take a good look at ourselves and recognize that we have real, spiritual needs that need God’s touch to be resurrected. God has what we need, but the only way to access it all is through the cross. If we are to reign with Him, inherit with Him, we must suffer also.

Romans 6:4-5

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Jesus created each and every one of us and views us as His children. He robed Himself in flesh so that he could come here and experience our sufferings, die for us, and a provide us with a plan of salvation.

Now, here is what we must do:

  1. Believe Jesus is our Father, seek His love, and respect to honor Him as such.
  2. Believe He has proven his love for us and prove our love to Him by living a righteous lifestyle.
  3. Be thankful that he suffered through what he did for us.
    1. Personalize this. You and I deserved to suffer an eternal damnation and he intervened!

Acts 1:1-11

1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Jesus’s Last Moments on Earth:

Over 500 people saw Jesus during His last days on earth after He resurrected, providing an excellent group to be witnesses that He was back from the grave and all He said was true. His last moments came alone with His disciples before ascending into the air and being received up into a cloud

God Has Made Preparation for Us:

The dead righteous Christians of the Old Testament will take part in the second resurrection at Judgement and be given a new home on the New Earth. The Church, His Bride, the Love of His Life, will experience the First Resurrection at the Rapture, and live in the New Jerusalem. Preparation has been made both for. If you ever hear someone’s doubts about the Rapture, stop them, and say this, “You cannot deny that Christ built a church, that is called His body, and is His Bride.”

If Jesus has a bride in the end, it seems reasonable to find scriptures that support the notion that:

  1. The Bride of Christ will join Him in His throne and we will live in New Jerusalem.

Revelation 21:2-3

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

  1. Since there will be a marriage supper, we can assume the bride will not only be there, but must receive some formal transportation to attend their own marriage!

Revelation 19:7-9

7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

  1. The members of His body, the Bride, will both be dead saints & living saints.

Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Now tell us how this transportation will be accomplished if you deny the rapture and all the supporting scriptures.

This all important event in history, Resurrection, is the catalyst and source of power that enables Christ to Resurrect His Bride at the Rapture, by His Spirit that dwells in us. The Power of God is unleashed into the world, because of the Resurrection. Attempts to bring doubt in believing in it, is expected by the enemies of our souls

Dead to Sin:

There is only one way for the plan to work; one source of power to activate the plan. The resurrection of Jesus proves He has the power over death therefore, He also has the ability to share this power over death with His Bride. How do people obtain this power over death? We must acknowledge the truth about Jesus and His sacrifice buying us a way to follow His example, spiritually.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Resurrection Power Spawned all of this:

Power Over Death!

Power to Witness!

Soul Saving Power!

Power Over Sin & Temptation! Devil Beat Down Power! Living Without Sin Power!

Say it any way you choose, it is one power from the Holy Ghost, due to His Sacrifice at Easter.

This is a day of complete victory! The demonstration of His power over death includes power over the devil too. We have this power in the Holy Ghost.

The goal is to have Him Inside of you; that was the purpose of Easter; suffering and dying for us, taking our place, to have us obey Him and receive the Holy Ghost. He wants to live inside you!
