God The Ox

Ezek 1:1 Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

Ezek 1:10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.

Deuteronomy 33:17 His glory is like a firstborn bull, and his horns like the horns of the wild ox; together with them he shall push the peoples to the ends of the earth; they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

When 2 oxen are yoked together they will walk in unison

They will walk as one as if they have 1 mind

They stand together they pull together

The 2 oxen are held together by a yoke

The yoke is a heavy wooden harness that fits over the shoulders of the oxen

The yokes guides and keeps the oxen headed in the right direction

The ox may resist the yoke but he usually quickly adjusts to it

He learns that the yoke always lightens his load

The yokes were made to adjust to the size of the oxen they were made to fit well

Mat 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour [ work hard wearied]and are heavy laden, [ over-burdened] and I will give you rest.

Mat 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Mat 11:30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The oxen exudes an oil around its neck that softens the wood and makes it comfortable

And at a certain point of growth if the yoke is not adjusted it will break if it is not changed

God is not only the owner of the yoke but he is our yoke fellow it is God that we are yoked to.

He said learn of me the wise farmer would always team an older stronger oxen with a younger weaker oxen.

Our problem is, is we have not learned yet that we are not supposed to figure everything out

We are not supposed to have all the control

We are not supposed to have it all figured out

And we are supposed to yoked together with God and he is the stronger one

Pro 14:4  Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.

The oxen are for working and plowing and pushing and pulling

It is through his wonderful strength that we have won any and all battles that we have won.

The Israelites were fleeing towards the mighty red sea and running away from the mighty Egyptian army

Absolutely no way for them to make it out alive

But God the ox said I am going to push the waters out of my people’s way and when the enemy follows behind I will push the water back in their way

Much increase is by the strength of the ox

Hundreds of false prophets of Baal and thousands of backsliders were against 1 little old man of god

But God the ox said sent fire down from heaven

The Jordan was chilly and muddy and overflowing its banks

But God the ox pressed back the waters and God’s people went to other side to fulfill his will

The lady was a poor widow she had a boy to feed and they were no doubt days or weeks from death but God the ox said I am going to break some natural laws you feed this prophet and she and her son lived.

The kid was a promise from God and when he was in the field he cried my head my head and probably suffered from a heat stroke and die on his mother’s lap

But God the ox said hey hold on death this woman has been faithful she has blessed my kingdom death I am going to push you back

The death angel was at the Hezekiah’s door knocking but god the ox pushed him back for 15 years because of faithfulness

People tried to bind him with chains but the man with all the demons could not be calmed but God the ox

He had laid on his bed by the magical waters waiting for the angel to trouble the waters and then for hopefully a person to help him into the pool and he said I have no man

The man was so sick that he had to be carried by 4 men

The woman had a bad disease she had spent all of her money on doctors and grew sicker

Bartimaeus was a beggar he had people against he had disciples against him

There were thousands that were very hungry and the disciples said send these people o by the way lord there aint no food around here this is a desert place

Lazarus situation was hopeless no brain waves no heart beat

No inhaling no exhaling body decomposing

God’s people were thirsting to death and the water available was bitter

The waters were beating hard against the boat

The winds were pressing the boat and battering it

But the ox was asleep in the bottom of the boat

The storm was intense the disciples were afraid but here comes the ox walking on the stormy sea

He is meek and lowly and gave his life after the cruel mockings and beating and nailing his hands and his feet his side was pierced the death certificate was signed but the ox

Ex 14:14 the lord shall fight for you and ye shall hold your peace

2 Chron 32:8 with him is an arm of flesh but with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles.
