Baby/Child Dedication

Song: “Jesus Loves The Little Children.”

(Mark 10:13 KJV)  And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.  But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.  Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.  And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

Have Family all come forward.

The family is a Divine institution ordained by God from the beginning of time.  Children are a heritage of the Lord committed by him to their parents for care, protection, and training for His Glory.

It is important that all parents recognize this obligation and their responsibility to God in this matter.

•                     Jochebed of old trained her own child Moses after having given him to the Lord.

•                     Hannah recognized that her child was Jehovah’s.

•                     And Mary also brought the infant Jesus to the temple.

Father’s Name and Mother’s Name wish to recognize the sacredness of their charge and now bring back to the Lord the treasure which He has entrusted to them.  By doing this, they recognize and acknowledge their responsibility for the nurture and admonition of Child’s Name in the ways of righteousness and Godliness.

If it be your desire to dedicate   to the Lord today, please respond “we do” to the following.

Minister: In the sight of God and in the presence of these witnesses, do you promise to bring  up in the fear and admonition of the Lord?

Parents: We do.

Minister: Do you promise to lead her early in her life to have a relationship with her savior Jesus Christ?

Parents: We do.

Minister: Do you promise, to the best of your ability to set before her examples of Godly and consistent lives?
