In 2 Samuel 9, there is a very compelling story about a young man named Mephibosheth that I think would bless us to consider. First there are some things that we need to establish about Mephibosheth. At the age of five he, as the grandson of the reigning king, was wealthy beyond his wildest imagination. He was a strong and healthy boy. And though he may not have known it yet, he was in line to be king of Israel some day. Because of who Grandpa was, he would one day be king of the mightiest nation on the earth at that time.
