Forty days after His resurrection, the Lord led His followers out of Jerusalem toward Bethany. It was, humanly speaking, no group to boast about. There were the eleven disciples, and maybe the women who had accompanied Jesus so faithfully, and maybe some others as well. Certainly no more than 120 persons – the crowd assembled on the day of Pentecost. Fishermen, tax collectors, and women: all people whom society considered persons of no account….
