Communion is something we do because Jesus asked us to do it in remembrance of how He did it for us. We all need to keep our hearts and flesh under control; keep our spirits humble and get rid of some pride. Today, we call this practice , the “Communion Service” or taking part in the "Lords Supper." We eat unleavened bread (crackers) and drink the fruit of the vine (grape juice) in remembrance of how Jesus suffered and died for our salvation.
