Think back to where God has brought you from. Take some time to praise Him for it right now. God wants to reveal to someone where he wants to take you. God wanted David to remember where he had brought him from. “David I brought you from the back of the flock to the front of the kingdom.” David you were last. You were the youngest son of Jesse. But I made you first. David I promoted you. God is in the business of promoting his people.
