If We Really Knew We Surely Would

Jesus was talking to a lady at a well about the blessing that was so close to her, which was Himself, but she was not aware, and therefore, she was about to miss that great moment.

If you just knew who was talking to you, you would respond so differently, but alas, how often we, too, are just not aware and we so miss our moments.

As students, we remember how we had wished we had known that a test was about to be given, we surely would have studied better, or had we known about some item we had forgotten and then needed, we would have taken a better inventory. All through our lives we are coming into moments that could, and do, change our futures. Yet our ignorance about them leaves us missing some wonderful event. Not being aware of the oil being low in the engine, or a low tire, or whatever, can be so costly to us.

I wonder what we would do in some situations if we just knew it was a Divine setup and God had put us just there. Yet we were totally blind to what could have happened.

If we knew that Jesus would come before tonight, what adjustments and even drastic changes would have to be made so we would not be left behind.

If the investor only knew how the market would be going, they would change their ways, making sure to take advantage of that information.

What about Spiritual Things?

If we undoubtedly knew that Jesus wanted to use us in a situation for His Glory, how differently we might act. If we knew the mind of God about certain things, how intense we might become to be involved with whatever. If we really knew that Jesus would back us up when we talked to someone about their souls or prayed for someone sick, what kind of boldness would really be displayed?

I have missed too many moments, because I just didn’t know it was a Jesus moment. I am keeping my spirit so sensitive as not to miss what I must do.

I ask all of you to challenge yourselves; just what would you do? Let’s believe God ordains these moments.
