Hebrews chapter 11 is the “Hall of Faith” --What a great cloud of heroic witnesses have gone before us! And truly, anyone who gives their life to God is a hero.

Similar to serving your country. Many have died that we might live. May we never forget!

Why must we build sermons around Memorial Day?

Memorial Day is - for some a shocking earthly reminder of how close we all are to death, and what death has taken away from us here on Earth. It's also the perfect time to remind people of Christ's work on the cross and what that work accomplished.

Many have lost Dads, Uncles, Moms, Brothers, Sisters, Daughters, Sons, and some may even blame God, or blame some enemy or have some other unhealthy view of the situation. It's this holiday, and this day on our calendar when churches can focus on the message of forgiveness. Forgiving God, loving our enemies and thanking those who fought for our freedom.
